Al Molo Ristorante Italiano By The Harbor Side

My best friend AY was in town for my birthday, and she was up for trying something new. Al Molo Ristorante Italiano at Harbor City has always been on my Must-Try List.

AY posted snap shots of the restaurant on Facebook shortly after she was seated, and within minutes, her foodie friend all the way from Shanghai quickly recognised its New York design and told her great things about Michael White.

At that moment, we were certain we came to the right place for a night of fine Italian cuisine.

Mista di Campo
Seasonal field greens, market vegetables, balsamic vinaigrette



Sliced beef braseola, poached figs, gorgonzola, hazelnuts



Prosciutto Pizza



Pan seared sea scallops, celery root, roasted onions, figs, lardo



Piemontese meat ravioli, sage, red wine sauce


AY and I basically finished all the dishes with only a slice of pizza left. Because it was so delicious, we couldn’t bare to see it go into waste, and so we had to pack  it to-go – Yes, it was thatgood!

BBQ Sunday At Sugar, EAST Hong Kong

Thanks to Juliana Loh for introducing me to the sugar cube contest that was hosted by Sugar, EAST Hong Kong.

Who knew I would be the lucky winner of a BBQ Sunday lunch on the house with 9 of my friends at Sugar?

I have heard too many good things about this slinky rooftop bar and deck located in Island East – it was finally my turn to check it out.

Japanese Robatayaki at Sakesan


Grilled Scallops

A Japanese robatayaki craving has been bugging me for weeks, and a friend suggested to have dinner and drinks at Sakesan in Soho – Perfect timing.

We walked in with a party of 6 people, staff from Sakesan arranged two tables, side-to-side for us – that was the best they could offer on a Tuesday night. There were not a lot to choose from the menu, so we picked the most special dishes that sparked our eyes.
